Narva Unveils Unique Aerotech LED Strobes

The release of Narva’s new Aerotech LED Strobe/Rotator lighting provides a wide range of benefits for operators of light construction, agricultural, commercial, roadside assistance and service vehicles, coupled with an eye-catching look.

Aerotech’s unique ‘trilobular’ shape, characterised by a greater front surface, increases visibility whilst tapering from front to back improves aerodynamics by 60 per cent compared to conventional round strobes. The result is reduced in-cabin wind noise at high speed along with an ultra-modern appearance that complements the look of late model vehicles.

The new lamps offer outstanding visibility, (the highest for their size) easily exceeding SAE Class 1 requirements and meeting Heavy Vehicle Regulation 2013 No.77, thus ensuring superior visibility even in extremely bright conditions.

An integrated light sensor automatically switches the strobe between high and low power modes for other road users or workers at night and during low light conditions. Users can also switch between the modes manually.

While the use of virtually-unbreakable polycarbonate lenses is not new to Narva, this range adds a special ‘Makrolon 2607’ material which is resistant to UV. Polycarbonate has also been used for the lamps’ heavy duty bases, providing a tough base but with a lighter footprint.

The Aerotech range was extensively tested at Narva’s in-house facility and backed by independently-approved and accredited laboratories. The Aerotech’s® testing included thermal shock, vibration (IEC 60068-2-64), mechanical shock, salt spray to IP67 and real world in-field evaluations. Narva is confident to offer a generous 7 year warranty across the range.

The Aerotech® LED Strobe/Rotator range comprises three main models (36W, 45W and 90W max LED power) and all feature 4 flash patterns plus “steady on”.

A number of mounting options are also available including Flange Mount, Single Bolt Mount, Pole Mount, Flexible Pole Mount and Vacuum Magnetic Mount.

The lamps meet CISPR 25 Class 3 standards for EMC and are available through leading automotive and transport outlets nationwide.
